You know, I'm still not in love with CO's art style. To me, the environments in a lot of those screens looked like CoX with a cell shader slapped on. In none of them did the characters actually look like they were a part of their surroundings. The characters end up looking more like sophisticated sprites floating in front of the scene, scaled to seem to fit. It just doesn't work.

I'm hoping that I'm wrong and that the game looks a lot better once you're in it. Cryptic's decision to go with something that resembles a more hand-drawn look was gutsy. I just feel so far that it wrecks the immersion. And that, for an MMO, is a real show-stopper because the idea of an MMO is to be a part of the world that your character inhabits.
