As much as I loved the SW:TOR Trailer, it didn't add much to the game other then hype it up for those that weren't aware of it yet. So the biggest news for me was APB, I heard about it before, but I wasn't aware of how good a game it could potentially be. Plus that character customization was just WOW!

FFXIV! I've been craving that feeling that FFXI gave me, such depth to a game in an mmo, and they have finally answered the call. Although, Heroes of Telera looks interesting too, same with SWTOR. Not sure about APB, concept sounds cool, but I can just hear the controversy debate being sparked again with that one. Being a father of young kids, I wouldn't let them play that game until they were over 18. Not saying games like that can't be made, just that alot of kids end up playing these adult type games when they shouldn't.

FFXIV was probably my biggest. I didn't play FFXI because my computer at the time wasn't strong enough to play it so will look forward to this one. SWTOR didn't add much sadly but what I did hear was kind of a bit of a put off (heavy instancing, voting on actions in parties etc). APB was a good bit of news as well and I'm not normally a fan of games like GTA but it looks pretty good.

FFXIV by far, been a long time since I was hooked on FFXI, and no MMO has really come close to that level of character affinity and community feel that exists in that game.
My friends are already starting the hype, talking about what jobs we will play and what FFXI features will make the cut or get dropped (no more "raise 3 onry" induced EXP penalties on death, please...)
Good times!

Well, I was expecting the FFXIV kinda.. So the must unexpected was probably Heroes of Telara, I would never guess..
But the best news is probably the FFXIV!

Final Fantasy XIVby a long, long shot. Honestly can't care the least about KOTOR. They're overhyping it quite too early, setting it in a part of the star wars timeline that doesn't really interest me, and claiming lots of merits that really don't belong to them "first to introduce the "fourth pillar" to MMO's"? Please...
APB sounds pretty nice, but the 100 people servers turn me on the most. Sounds more like a beefed down version of MAG (or a beefed up version of any third person shooter) with some RPG elements than a MMORPG. There's nothing "massive" in 100 people fighting in a cityscape. Multiplayer, yes. massive, no.
FFXIV instead looks extremely sweet, the storyline driven gameplay of FFXI with new graphics is a dream come true, and they've announced it just on the spot, one year before release. Moreover, there'll be no european server getto, everyone will play on the same servers, european, japanese, americans. That was one of the biggest sellers of FFXI for me, and will be the same for FFXIV
Finally, the multi-platform setup will ensure long-term succes, like it did with FFXI. It's pretty much a safe bet.

Final Fantasy XIV. I can't wait. I feel like cartman waiting for the Wii. post spring 2010 can't come soon enough. I have my fingers crossed for the beta. Hopefully almost seven years of paid FFXI account will count for something.

Heroes of Telara definitely! Very excited to see something new and refreshing in the genre with new ideas about how to run an mmorpg.

It depends on how much the FFXIV subscription fee is going to be...but I'm pretty excited about it. I'm glad to see that they are going pseudo-PS3 exclusive, at least at launch. I'm sick of seeing good games being cut back in the graphics department via developing for the 360's maximum capabilities and then porting that inferior quality over to PS3.

The Mission Walkthrough for TOR. Finding out about choices not being so simple, about Imperials being able to lightside and multiple-person fully voiced conversations, along with smooth animations makes it sound like a game with some depth. A game worth playing.
The FFXI setting didn't really get me very excited, so knowing its back (or re-skinned) for FFXIV makes that one a pass as well.
