Giant Bomb has been pumping out some great videos from E3 2009, but we of course took immediate notice of this interview with two Star Wars: The Old Republic developers from BioWare. Most of the conversation revolves around information we already know, until one of the devs reveals, "we have literally thousands of roles which are voiced in our game, which are done by many, many hundreds of voice actors." We knew there was going to be a lot of people, but, okay we didn't expect that many!
Hundreds.
Much of the Massively crew agreed that Star Wars: The Old Republic's classes would be limited to four or five on each side, due to the fully-voiced announcement. Now we're thinking differently with thousands of roles filled by many hundreds of voice actors. Suddenly, six or seven per side doesn't seem like a far away fever dream.
If you'd like to see how it ends when you ask a BioWare dev about SWTOR's release date, check out the full video after the break.

That actually puts to rest one of my fears about hearing the same voice in triple stereo in a party made up of the same class. Well... tucks it in, perhaps. Not completely to rest.

wonder how many interns they grabbed in the hall at EA to do voice overs.

I noticed the StarWarsMMO.net E3 Preview specifically mentions that they recognized the Bounty Hunter player character's voice as Steve Blum(known to many anime nerds as Spike Spiegel on Cowboy Bebop). That means they are at least using some Los Angeles voice actor talent, and my guess is that we can expect many other anime dubbing VAs(SOE used a lot of them for its tons of VA work in EQ2 too).

The StarWarsMMO.net preview by the way, for the curious. Even shows the "Let the Traitorous Captain Live" route that most at E3 never saw.

As long as they don't have Johnny Yong Bosch. Sure he essentially made Vash into the character that I LOVED. But Johnny is in EVERFREAKINGTHING that is ever released. Good voice actor, but kind of annoying to hear him everywhere.
Justin Cook is another one of my favorites, as well as Chuck Huber.
and @ starzzareblind: Yes, lol at the end.

I'm just waiting for them to do a "Be a voice actor!" contest. For a lucky fan or few fans to come do some voice acting for them. I'll be entering at the speed of light.

Why the hell you've eliminated the tags from the news?

I still see tags at the bottom of the post below the video.
