Stupid question, I know nothing about WAR, but why don't they just delay the patch to get in the content? Who's forcing these deadlines on Mythic?

Mythic still hasn't got it into their utterly thick skulls that huge massive career & class change patches are a really stupid idea, they change far too much to have any kind of handle on what the impact of the changes will be.

They need to just plain STOP with the big patches to careers & classes & change stuff a bit at a time, monitor the impacts & have a progressive "flow" to carrer & class changes.

The big changes in one go jolt the systems that players use & become accustomed too by far too much each time, & drasticly alter gameplay experiences for players, ultimately anyone wanting to take a master class in "pissing off the gaming masses" should take a leaf out of Mythic's approach to class-change patches.

big patches to careers & classes & change stuff are a good thing mostly for WAR like this game was rush out of the door into the stores at the end of a long never ending delay and it still lag content...

Nah, it doesn't matter if it the release was rushed out at his point, they ought to stay the hell away from WoW's former massive all-in-one patch model that creates more issues than it tries to solve (even Blizzard got the hint and moved to releasing several minor patches for class ability ajustments).

Major content patch = new content, zones, quests, dungeons/RvR
Minor content patch = class/ability adjustments

Mythic has always been guilty of the huge sweeping changes to their classes, it's the biggest reason DAoC never came close to being balanced after 7 years. All the big changes do is fix the problems people whine about the most, then open up a whole new batch of problems that will take them another 6 months to fix.

I think they are just feeling pressured, They hear too much outcry on the forums about "Choppas being OP" and "Warrior Priests invicible" and it is a little messed up that Archmages are a "healer" class and can put out dps like a bright wizard.

And they want people to enjoy themselves, I think there is added pressure on any game in this time of blizzard's (fading) domination. Bliz can fix things slowly, lets say mages were nerfed too hard, EVERY mage in the game could unsubscribe and it would make blizz go from like 180 mil a month to 162 mil a month. The severity on Mythic to keep players happy is much stronger.

Mythic has always been an ambitious group, and they want us to get more end game content, which is respectable, but I say balance first, then again, im not lvl 40 yet.
