Newsflash:

This is an MMO blog and they have a responsibility to report on the the genre - The fact that no keys are left is not their fault. Oh hey but thanks for your comment anyway, more mindless twoddle is just what this comments page needs.

John,

We held our own giveaway earlier in the week but there are plenty still going on for both EU and NA (hence my reason for including so many links in this piece). The keys do go VERY fast though. The only reason the MMORPG.com giveaway was mentioned in the first place was because it confirmed the NA beta and the keys were gone by the time I wrote the article, hence the final sentence of the first par:

'However every one of the 5000 keys they were offering had gone in a matter of hours'.

Good luck with your search.

Yep, I'm waiting as well. Hope they didn't forget about us ex-Tabula Rasa players.

While awesome that Aion is finally coming stateside, my interest in it has waned a bit over the past few months and with the announcement of Final Fantasy XIV yesterday my interest in Aion is pretty much toast and my WoW account is quaking in fear.

Now that Final Fantasy XIV has been announced all you'll be able to do is twiddle your thumbs in anticipation for the next two years. I hope you enjoy yourself. I'll be playing games that are out now.

I hope they have change a couple of things before they brought it to the EU and the US. I believe they changed some of the asian MMO aspects of it, that's what caused the delay.

ahhh if only you were actually correct, Aganazer.... but you're not.

until FF14 shows up, I still have WoW, GuildWars, and about a month and a 1/2 ago I re-activated my FFXI account after hearing about some great changes to the game and have been enjoying it far more than ever. Now all I need to do is get to sleep before 1 am, LOL.

Meh. Isn't there anywhere to sign up for the beta that isn't a contest? There were 0 keys left by the time I saw this post. I'd like to throw my name in the hat for next time.

Just in case you don't know it is an option - you can pre-order the game at a gamestop and they will hand you a box with a beta key in it... Apparently you can order one too, but then I think they will email you the code at a later date.

I went ahead and splurged on the collector's edition since the Guild Wars CE's sold out fairly quickly if I recall.

Very slowly downloading the client right now.

As Bak stated you can reserve a copy at your local Gamestop for a measly 5 bucks and it will grant you access to all weekend beta events etc. This is what I did as I'm already pretty sure I'll be on the bus for this one.Just a heads up.
