"...the biggest fish in the MMO sea has chosen every possible opportunity to change things in their popular game world..."

There, it's fixed now.

Blizzard, in the recent past, has adopted the standard operating procedure of changing as much as possible, as often as possible, with WoW's game mechanics and character abilities. The more I see these patch notes roll across massivley.com, the more I'm glad I don't play WoW anymore.

Almost uninstalled this last night. Three arena partners have quit the game this season for various reasons leaving me scrambling for a new 2s partner for 10 games for the week to collect some points. Went 2-8 with my girlfriend who HATES PVP and lost 100 rating :( Sadly, holy pally and shadow priest didn't work as well as rogue and disc priest or lock and disc priest :-P

If Blizz was somehow able to separate the abilities and dps/armor %s from PvE and PvP -- essentially instancing the class balance depending on whether you're arenaing or dungeoning -- they'd probably receive less backlash for the plethora of changes that happen patch to patch. As it is, they're still balancing classes mainly for arenas which is a constant roller coaster. If you don't like your class, wait a few weeks/months/years and you'll like it then.

Like other commenters, I'm happy to be out of the WoWness. There are too many MMOs coming out soon with so much more new and challenging adventures to behold.

It's not blizzards fault really, they been flogging this great game so long now it's turning into a dead horse.

I mean a lot of people here stopped playing WoW (including me) because they were sick of the sight of it, so you have to wonder how bad the devs think of it by now and whether or not at some level fatigue is setting in now regarding the patch process and decision making.

I have this theory that as when the wrath of the lich king was due out they gave up and nerfed all the burning crusade content they are doing the same thing with the whole of WoW and want get on with a new game.

For example: I imagine the sentiments as being along the lines of "Screw it, lets have dual spec and let them all tank/heal/fly through the air with the greatest of ease, then we don't have to worry about class balance any more and can get on with something else, that'll stop you whining for a while"

"Think it's unfair that some aspects of the game are too hard - yeah, whatever, here you go. Now EVERYONE can complete it. Oh, you can't get 40 people, here you go, 25.. what's that.. jeezus, lets scale the raids to however many people can be bothered to turn up, happy now? What, you want new mounts? Ok, here you go, HAHAHAH flying carpets.. funny hey".

I don't think for one second that anything remotely like that has been said out loud in any meetings, but I suspect it might be in a few people's thoughts there. It would only be human to do so, no shame in it as such and for the direction that game is taking it must be considered at least a remote possibility.

For the record it was, and still is the best all round game at the moment, and without question has a skilled and committed team behind it. It gave me many years of fun, and as I'm sure it will a lot of others to come, but for the rest of you long timers: come now, walk into the light, leave that game. You've had enough now :)
