Looks like the average number of systems I had to fly through in order to find a decent price on a Mammoth...

That much EVE travel would destroy my soul. The time investment alone makes me shudder... but knowing that it is 99% passive waiting is the worst part of it.

your doing it wrong :)

Autopilot=death (in terms of your sanity and suicide ganks/lowsec systems en route etc)

allowing for lag etc , under ideal conditions with enough cap to traverse a larger system (i.e. Jakanerva) you should spend no more than a minute or two from jump to jump.

I know how to pilot without autopilot. Unfortunately it sucks only slightly less.

Click my destination, Jump within 0m, wait for warp to finishing, click the gate and jump through. Rinse and repeat.

It's extremely passive, and once you've seen the starscapes a few hundred times, it becomes mind-numbingly dull.

ah understood, apologies for any misunderstandings.

Sadly theres no way round that minute or two spinning the camera and playing with the zoom :(

well, theres always "stay on top" settings in your favorite video player (amazing how many episodes of something you can watch whilst hauling).
