"Unknown adventure"? Shawn, you're more than pushing the limits of honest showbiz, here.

Although, the character name made me laugh. :)

When someone else chooses your path, it's unknown to you, right?

I saw Moira when she visited the Barradin Estate, so that was fun. She left just as I said hello, but as busy as she was I doubt she would have had time to chat anyway.

Why don't you finish the game first before moving to the other campaigns?

Finishing the game would be very difficult as the author will not have access to heroes unless he goes to Nightfall at least for the heroes. In Prophecies and Factions he will only have access to 1 Necromancer and 1 Assassin in Factions.

Everybody and their brother henched all of Prophecies before it was even called that. Wasn't overly hard then, it certainly wouldn't be now.

The addition of Hard Mode (which you can only access after finishing the campaign) was basically a giant nerf to all non-Hard mode content.

Hmm, I finished Prophecies before the Heroes, so I would not know. As far as I recall the last few missions esp to get Bonuses in Southern Shiverpeaks and the Ember Isles was really tough to get. Henchies AI used to suck big time.
Anyway would be nice to know from the author if he faced any challenging areas(other than villany of galrath which was pretty tough even at level 20). While I appreciate the photo essays , it would be fun to see some bigger write ups regarding areas. Just a suggestion.

I never found henchie AI to be that bad, actually they were pretty impressive for what they were. The big problem with them was the skill choices were deliberately gimped, something that heroes let you get around.

I dunno, maybe I remember it as being easier to do then it was, but I did hench through Prophecies several times, as well as through Cantha once (everything else, heroes ftw), so I know it's doable. The main thing was always who you chose, sometimes you have to try a few combinations for any given area before finding one that worked well, and always, always, always calling your target. The first time I went through the various ascension quests -- and I was always disappointed that became a joke in the later expacs -- it was like hitting a brick wall until I learned to call my targets. Just hadn't had to bother before that.

Calling targets, always having a rez sig (or, better yet, hard rez, except maybe on capping runs), and having a good Long/Flatbow for pulling will get you through most anything, even with just henchies.

You mean he might have to play with other people? *gasp* Good thing he's not playing an MMO or anything. (Technically, it's a CORPG, but whatever.)

The absolute beauty of Guild Wars is that you can move forward (with henches/heroes) rather than get stuck in some kind of "LFG" hell (I'm looking at you, WoW, LotRO, etc.). That's what makes Guild Wars a CORPG, yes, but it is pure genius for many of us who actually want to PLAY rather than waste precious time finding groups for everything.

Grouping should be an *optional* feature -- not a requirement -- for in-game progress or access to fun content, imo.

This series of articles about GW would get very boring if each successive posting indicated "I tried but failed to find a group for XYZ mission or quest."

NOOOOOOO don't get out of Ascalon!!!!!! I love the place! Go for the Defender of Ascalon title! XD

I wish you could go back in time in Eye of the North and explore Ascalon all over again... with new stuff in it.......Ascalon is probably what made me fall in love with GW :D

Err, tough call here. As I know I'd head to Elona and get the heroes -- at least the first few 3-4 (which you get pretty quickly). Then I'd go BACK and play through Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall in order. You may not want to do all that, but it's what I would do if I were playing even just Prophecies.

Unfortunately, that wasn't a voting option. :(

So, my suggestion is Head to Elona.

Then, put it to a vote after you get Koss, Melonni, Dunkoro, and Sousuke/Jin as to whether you go back to Prophecies of stay in Elona or head to Cantha.

I completed all Missions/Quests, except for Elona Reach, up till the Crystal Desert in Prophecies just using henchmen. However I don't think I would have completed 2 of the missions there without the help of other players. If you go the Prophecies route I will love to read how you do.
