Bethesda, because I love the Elder Scrolls games. While I don't think ES would work quite as well as MMO's, Bethesda have proven to me they can make quality games.

Looks like you got your wish. It looks pretty serious. They showed it on SpikeTVs E3 Pre-Show.

Nintendo would be awsome. A pokemon MMO would be a nice fit.

A Pokemon MMO should have been one of the first. In a time where it was brand new, kids played against eachother on their gameboys EVERYWHERE. The Setting, plot, and characters are already there.
An MMO where you can not only defeat the many different kinds of monsters that exist, but you can also capture, train and fight with ANY of them and their unique abilities.

I'd like to see Stardock make a MMO... love their work, love their testing feedback methods, love their free updates.

Otherwise I think a good MMO can really be made by most anybody willing to put the money and effort (including time) into making one.

Personally? ...Team Sonic...

:D

But, no, seriously, I would love to see what VALVe could do with a MMO game in the Half-Life universe(or any universe, really), but also I think Bethesda would be another good company to do a MMO game, but the problem being, with Bethesda especially, is that their games are a very single-player focus, and it could be a bit wonky trying to spread the focus from just SP to Multiplayer, to everything else found in today's MMOGs.

Rockstar would make an amazing MMO. Perhaps not a GTA mmo but if red dead redemption is as good as i think it will be then i'd love to see a Wild West MMO by them.

Nintendo. Their catalogue is the best in the industry.

Franchises ripe for MMOs include, but not limited to:

Metroid
Pokemon
Earthbound
Animal Crossing
Crystal Chronicles

Microsoft.

Hey, someone had to say it.

The amusement value of the inevitable hurricane of responses would keep sites like this churning for months -- the veritable tsunami of frothing-at-the-mouth ABMer rants alone would provide more entertainment then the entirety of next year's television season (granted, it's not like that's saying much). Such an announcement would certainly shake up an industry in bad need of a good shake-up or three. Hell, MS might even come out with a good MMO eventually, stranger things have happened (albeit rarely) and gamers have certainly spent more then a bit of time in bed with Sony, easily MS's equal (or better) in the Evil Empire race.

Even if the whole thing turned into a "Just kidding!", it'd hardly be unusual for MS (or most other companies) to use a product announcement as a trial balloon, it would change the geography of the MMO world, and it's hard to see how that couldn't be an improvement.
