There's of course a lot of the biased/pointless stuff (ie. the classic "buff class A and nerf class B" from people who play class A). In the couple of years that I played WoW though, I have seen a lot of thought-out feedback and suggestions that have fallen on deaf ears.
My tinfoil hat theory is that Blizzard is finally realizing many of their players are feeling like they're not being heard, and they're fed up of it. This could be your typical PR stunt to smooth things out.
