Games played through the Internet have to be compatible with the whole Internet. Just another MMO Windows-only (no Macs, no Linux) that closes. Well deserved.

I for one feel no sadness for MxO biting it, the sheer arrogance of
the online community there was laughable and pathetic, getting the
rug pulled out from underneath them is -exactly- what they deserve.

MxO was a dead game when it was still in Beta, it was a dead game
when it was launched....within the first 8 months the servers were
cut by 1/3 and a year after that gaming stores were practically
giving away MxO.

MxO was left to rot in the smallest recesses of SoE and the interweb,
the playerbase did NOTHING about trying to help the game along except
to piss and moan on the offical forums....SkyJackal is the only
exception...and he was the only true fan, he busted his balls to try
to give that game as much attention he could.

Just goes to show that one person cannot save a community...so screw
it, let it die.

Oh and Neurotic, if you actually believe that VG is going to be around by this time next year then you're fooling yourself.
