Hi Charles,

Thank you very much for getting back to me. I have had a look at the phone and it looks fantastic!

I am not sure it will do what I want as yet, which for my students who can't run SL at home to be able to join in a group call with other students and teachers in SL. We can do that with text-chat via Moodle and SliteChat, but not with voice so far. I guess would could use Skype, but I sometimes find running Skype and SL at the same time really slows things down!

Thank you very much for providing me with the information!

Cheers,

Scott

I don't even use the REGULAR voice chat, why would I pay extra for this nonsense?

AvaLine Should Be FREE for PREMIUM ACCOUNT HOLDERS
Linden Lab keeps threatening to make a premium account worth more than a free account. The only difference between a premium account and a free account now is that if I do not pay my premium account for 60 days LL will delete my entire inventory while the free account can store 40,000 items on the server until the end of time.

Premium accounts and Island holders should receive AvaLine as part of their monthly fees. Come on Linden Lab, put your money where your mouth is.

I read through the comments so far here... and I am surprised the obvious has not been mentioned... sex industry... both for the anonymity of the avatar/sex service provider and the ability to create a fantasy through an avatar.... besides that particular industry... I can not think of one that would need anonymity, virtual world perks, and a phone in world.
