Adventurers of Vana'diel, you only have six more days to throw your gil at the popular virtual lottery, Mog Bonanza! Yes, that's right, the Mogs are once again offering up fabulous prizes for anyone willing to purchase a few lottery marbles!
This year's grand prize of gil has changed, however, from a flat rate prize to a percentage of the proceeds generated from marble sales. For example, rank 1's gil prize will be half of the proceeds from marble sales divided equally amongst all of the people who won the grand prize and chose gil as their payout.
Otherwise, the contest has remained pretty much as is, with items like the Kraken Club and Novio Earring making appearances once again on the grand prize list. Even if you don't match all six digits, there are still plenty of lucrative prizes to leap at, making purchasing marbles totally worth it.
Marbles are 2000 gil a pick and can be purchased from Bonanza Moogles stationed at all of the ports of the capital cities and the Chocobo Circuit.

I have to thank you for giving FFXI coverage, it's really the forgotten MMO it seems among all the big games. It's nice to see massively doing articles on it, especially timely ones.

yeah i have to agree, i have seen several posts about people who are hating that you cover FFXI, but for those of us that do play (and there are quite a few) it is nice to see a little coverage about a largely forgotten mmo. Your fields of valor segment got my attention, and I recently returned after a three yeah break, and I much say those combined with the level sync system make the game so much more user friendly. I am having so much less trouble finding a group and can even solo without feeling like I am completely wasting time. Thanks for the info!

It's too bad it's considered a forgotten MMO, I still play it regularly and I've extensively tried out every practically every other MMO that gets talked about here. The core combat mechanics are complex and more engaging than any other MMO I can think of. The art design is fantastic, the game in general has a unique charm and it's own personality. WoW's art design is, in comparison, pretty generic. Without a doubt the best part of FFXI is the community. Sorry but I've been around the block and most other MMO players are self centered weiners. FFXI is a real community and people depend on eachother for help and companionship through the many, many days of grinding. It is a grind, but that's what makes it so rewarding. You can always count on someone to give you a hand in FFXI. Everyone is very nice and considerate and because server populations are fairly small everyone knows eachother. It's like a giant virtual family. The environments haven't aged well, admittedly, graphically speaking but the character animations are still better than WoWs. Still, kickass game. I'm too excited for the next SE MMO.
