If you're one of the people who likes the concept of Runes of Magic, but perhaps weren't as fond of the art, then we're sure that you will be glad to hear this bit of news. Frogster has hired internationally renowned fantasy artist, Eva Widermann, to contribute art to the game. The word is that she's already working with their team, creating "future game elements" but perhaps she'll turn an eye towards refining some of the areas that players feel need more work - like character customization.
Widermann has already contributed work for both RPG games (such as the above piece for Wizards of the Coast) as well as work she's done for NCsoft and EA. According to her statement, Widermann said: "For a long while things have looked rather bleak for concept art in Germany and I belong to the majority of illustrators who have seized their opportunities mainly abroad. And so I'm all the more delighted about the cooperation with Frogster and the up-coming projects." If you'd like a taste of what Ms. Widermann will bring to Runes of Magic, be sure to check out the galleries of her work on her site. We can't wait to see how her hand shapes Taborea.

Yeah, and I'd love to see the lovely art, if note for the fact that the game so hard that my system reboots every time I get to the character creation screen...
