We were invited to a press preview event this weekend, which allowed us access to the game and came with an special NDA lift for today.

The general public NDA is still very much in effect, yes. Our press NDA, however, was up as of today.

The press NDA for a press event was lifted the general beta tester NDA hasn't been yet. And it was mentioned in the other article not this one.

It was the press NDA for a press event that was lifted.

Right-o, the main concern was all the readers thinking it was lifted. The clarification helps a lot. Thanks and great write ups!

Sounds like fun glad to see mmos starting to give more control to the player.

I would also like to add that combat in this game is fast paced. You don't have to wait for recharges to keep fighting. You can move on from mob to mob if you want without resting in-between. Of course, this depends on stats, but my point is that combat runs much quicker than some MMOs *coughCOH cough*
It's much more fun without the downtime.

at least thats what I hear

That's good to know. I always hated that about CoH -- the combat felt quite fast-paced, but you ended up standing around for a minute or so after a fight, completely destroying the excitement.

really impressive. holy heck, after TR died i thought i might pass up mmo's due to sticky slow combat, glad to see it won't be the case here.

Kyle, I really appreciate the preview articles, and I say this with absolute respect: the past participle of "bind" is "bound". A key is "bound", it's not "binded". Just FYI.

I'm starting to regret buying COH just recently, but if Champions Online thrives it will be there when I'm ready to give it a try. It doesn't bother me coming to game late, in fact I prefer it so they can work out the kinks and I also like the supportive veteran players. In less that 3 hours of playing COH for the first time, I was recruited by a very well established super team and really helpful teammates. I will have no doubt Champions Online will bring the same kind of experience in a year or two.
