Hmmm...I tried really hard to like the game. I could easily fall in love with the look of things but I felt there was a little too much hand holding....I know its aimed towards children and honestly...its hard to look beyond that fact. There are too many MMO's that are aimed towards adult screaming for my attention to spend too much time doing cart racing or cooking mini games.

I played the beta for a week and plan to continue playing.

It's a good game to play when I get burned out with LOTRO or just want to play a simple game to unwind at the end of the day.

I liked what I saw and will definitely keep playing. I know what you mean about the kitty though.

I'm really not big on in game pets but they have one that looks exactly like my RL cat and ... I don't know how long I can be strong.

I've been looking for something to get my fiance to understand why I like MMO's more than dancing with the stars. So I'm hoping when I boot this thing up with her she'll get it.

massively should probably just stop with the free realms stories. in spite of it actually being a good game, the majority of people who read this site seem to think they are too good for a 'kiddy' mmo.

Yep, created my character and signed up for the $5 monthly account. My girlfriend and I will be playing this with my son. We've been playing WoW since it released and we've been bored for a long time waiting for something nicely polished to come out and hook us. The game plays smoothly, the UI is nice, the graphics are perfectly fine, the mini games are fun, the flexibility of jobs is welcome, just seems like a fun little game. The mini games will be the ones that keep us playing, racing, demo derby, chess, checkers, tcg, etc.

So along with that we also installed EVE :-P

Heh yeah wanted to illustrate that even though Free Realms has that younger audience feel, it has a place for everyone imho.

I'll be signing up this weekend. I'm sure my daughter will appreciate seeing the pretty colors and fancy toons.

Yep my character is made (Drake) and my girlfriend is signing up later on I hope. Played in the beta and it was great fun for a casual diversion from my main MMO (Lord of the Rings Online). I love the CCG, mini games and I hear they're adding housing (my favourite aspect of MMOs). Hope to see you all in the Free Realms!

Yes, I'm playing it, and enjoying myself. Admittedly, I probably wouldn't be playing it if I hadn't been looking for a game my daughter and I could play together -- but you know what? For a game aimed at younger players, it has more depth than some adult-oriented F2P titles. (And some P2P titles too, in my opinion.)

I haven't tried this game at all yet despite all the stories that have popped up on here about it however, I may sign up later today and see what it's all about.

I'll play it, just to explore it.

I am just fine with Runes of Magic as a more grown-up MMO though, but with two free MMOs there's no reason NOT to play.

Plus I want to play it to be ready for its eventual launch on PS3. I'm guessing they won't launch on PS3 until they're reasonably sure the game is stable and doesn't need as much patching after the initial onslought of players (e.g. fewer runs through the certification ringer for the console).

Playing Free Realms looks like a great way to pick up teenaged girls.

I'm playing it. Probably just because it gives me a colourful break from stabbing undead or shooting dudes in the face. Every once in a while you just want to relax a little. It seems nicely done so far and the price is right.

I'm an adult and I'll be playing. Its what I would call a fluff MMO. When I get tired of wow and need a break, I go play FR.

Those that think it just appeals to kiddies have never played and really don't know what they are talking about :)
