I like the concept. I like the cinematic. The translation to game format is always where is gets unfortunately messy. I really hope that it's not a game I can't pick up because it's 4-6 months after release, and I'm sorely behind everyone else in the game to matter.

I like the concept, but it's hardly new, at least based on what you've posted. It's what I figured the game was about from the first time I read about it.

And sorry Funcom, but forgive me if I'm a little reluctant to swallow this particular bait after AoC. You'll have to try much harder this time to get my money.

my question from the video isn't so much "will there be the abilities realy be like that spell in the video?", but instead "will there be milkshakes?"....cuz seriously that is a deal breaker! =)

No levels? Skills? A game that "starts" at end-game instead of a leveling game turn into end game?

Holy crap. Someone is thinking! Sign me up!

I have never enjoyed any interaction I've had with Funcom, the company, but I'll give them this: Ragnar Tornquist knows how to create a back-story.

I'm very excited! If they do a good job with this this could be the MMO i end up sticking with. I haven't had one of those in a long time. I love horror games and an Horror MMO would make me every so happy. As long as its not like Hellgate!

Agreed, the only way Funcom is gonna be getting my money is if I see an INGAME video showing the drinking of milkshakes. =)

I have been following The secret World for quite some time but there was so many secrets surrounding it that I lost interest. Now a skill base MMO with Dark Fantasy setting looks very promising.

I am interested in this type of concept. I do prefer a skill system over levels.

What will be great about this game is that you can come in and fight, or you can be the investigator. If you come in as an investigator, it should be no problem to research what has happened already if necessary. If you're not interested in investigation, you can always be the fighter.

And 4 Strength, 4 Stam Milkshake! AUAAAHHHHH! Level 18 UUHHH-UUUHHH
