Well as anyone who's played on PvP servers for any amount of time can attest to, that theory sounds great on paper, but it's going to fall flat on its face when you introduce Joe Dumbass player to it.

For one, take into account a world that has players like the fine folks who make up 'Goonsquad' and other, primarily griefing focused groups. They're not going to be playing your game, they're going to be playing their own game, and that's to see how many people they can push into quitting in the first 5 minutes of their playtime.

Stranglethorn vale in WoW was great if you were a high level hunting lowbies. It was however one of the most hated spots in the game for lowbies trying to get quests done there.

I think Blizzard got it right with Lake Wintergrasp. There's a zone where people who actually want to PvP can cluster together. Nobody is going to be stopping anyone from questing in Wintergrasp. If you're in the zone, you're there to PvP. Sure you might be looking for resources, but that's just to sweeten the deal and attract a few more targets who know what they're getting into.

No thanks. I deal with mouth breathing herds of 'special snowflakes' every day. I don't need to play a game with them in my free time as well.
