The newest trailer for Jumpgate Evolution is nearly 100% all combat, aside from the brief moments of textual drama. And with all that combat comes a pretty large sense of scale that we've really only seen in a few MMOs since the genre's inception. This and wonderful joyous action being NetDevil's specialty, it comes as no surprise.
Between the announcement of the game's minimum requirements and all of these gameplay videos, we're feeling very assured in our belief that Jumpgate Evolution is shaping up to be a visually stunning title that doesn't demand the world of our hardware. And so long as there aren't any significant bugs or crashes to desktops going on once the game releases, we'll probably be able to call the game 2009's most technically and visually impressive MMO.

I am extremely optimistic about this MMO. I love space combat sims and hate that my joystick and throttle are collecting dust. This could finally be the one to break me away from WoW.

No you can not exit your space ship. This is a Space Combat MMO. Not a end all be all MMORPGs.
If you don't like space combat and space ships then you will not like this game. Even more so if you didn't like Jumpgate then you will not like JGE as its the same server core and same game engine just massively improved and more focused on providing fun over a space simulator.

To compare a point and click game like Eve ageanst a realtime combat game like JGE is stupid at the very least. Its like comparing a online card game to a realtime mmo.
If JGE can pull off a 100 person battle with realtime combat it will surpased anything that Eve could ever hope to offer.
Your talking about a game where your actual physical skills with a joystick and/or keyboard / mouse matter ageanst a game where nothing but your ship setup and skills matter. To opposite games.
Not to mention least of all the graphics for JGE are blowing everything Eve has out of the water hands down!

I like games like Wing Commander and some Star Wars Space Combat games but never played Jumpgate! And I not understand how a Space Combat game can be a MMO like the only thing Massively about it is the space what is noting more them a large black arena with some colorful rocks and some blinking lights.
