Really to bad the devs punked this game turning it into a niche fantasy with the lore it could offer. Instead they destroy the lore, modifying it to satisfy PVE elements while taking away what lord of the rings was based on, an epic fight between good and evil (not npc's).

Creep play 2 years ago was lack luster, from what i read it still a joke. Do we really need uninspired devs like Orion that only worry about what "they" want and how "they" do something, worried about their "station" and how folks look at them in the grand scheme of things, or do we need folks willing to turn a mediocre game into something huge, telling suits to shut up and let me work?

It is the same thing in all MMO's either it is bleedingly simple and made for kids (WOW) or made for type A miscreants because of no consequence.

When is a set of devs going to grab their nuts, and lack of and do something right?

As with most programmers/planners with PHD's common sense and a sense of what is fun is forever lost, regardless of what they say to disprove that, the only thing that rules their lives now is the one plan.........on schedule and under budget. Fun? what fun? We have a business to run.

There was another post here the other day complaining about Orion, which I thought was funny given that he hardly ever posts on the forums (and hadn't for months at all, until recently) or anywhere visible. Only recently has he started sometimes posting on a MyLotro blog. It's as if this opinion is based upon some really old sore point.

So personally I'm not sure what you're really so upset about. I don't personally find much of that true, but to each their own.

In any event, that URL has gone to LotRO.com for a while now. I'd not be surprised if they own others or have plans too... After all, they have the rights to this for quite a while yet. Either way, Rohan makes the most sense anyway.

"Still, that won't stop us from imagining up mounted combat as Horse Lords and massive armies marching onto the steps of Helm's Deep as we valiantly defend her gates from dark forces."

If that really will be added I am buying it but unlikely!

Id been assuming for a while now that "Riders of Rohan" (or something similar) would be the second expansion - its been said numerous times that the game will follow the same path as the book, and Rohan is a far more appealing setting than the Dead Marshes.

And yes, I fully expect both some sort of representation of Helms Deep (Im guessing a "flashback" instance as per those introduced in MoM) as well as a mounted combat system (how could you *not* with Rohan).

Hmm a certain Massively contributor used to own this domain (after running a Rohirrim RP guild in another MMO), I wonder who purchased it, and maybe it wasn't cheap either, turbine mean business!!! ????

Rest assured, it's the next expansion folks, we all know that already, and you know, maybe there are others that redirect too, worth checking out maybe ;) ?
