Sure enough, Cryptic has decided to get in on the April Fools shenanigans with today's announcement on the Star Trek Online site. In it, they are claiming that they've opted for a complete revamp in the direction they're taking STO, in the desire to make it a little less 'hardcore and strategic'. Dubbed Star Trek Babies Online, we can't help but flash back to Saturday morning cartoons and start singing the theme to Muppet Babies with "Star Trek Babies" over top of it in our heads.
Shenanigans? Most definitely. But we have to admit, the idea of baby Klingons made us laugh pretty hard. Be sure to pop over there and check out all the 'new' screenshots and the revamped logo just in case they go away tomorrow.
