SOE used to be top dog, and now they're barely a contender. If 2008 told us anything, it's that "you're overall, longterm success is only as fruitful as your launch" and that means polish & content. Not retaining all your intial subs, but having enough that players will, at least, consider a return down the road.
Rushing a game, in this market, with players of this mentality, is finacial doom. It's better to spend some capitol intially, and make it up in the long run.
The genre's players are less forgiving then ever.
