Was hoping to get ahold of The Agency this year, especially since they said they'd be releasing more information this summer but... oh well. More time for polish, I suppose.

I didn't expect DCUO til 2010, but I did think Agency would be available by years end. That leads me to believe we won't be seeing DCUO til later in 2010, since The Agency is supposed to be launching first and one would assume they wouldn't release 2 MMO's within 6 months of each other.

Then again, I guess SOE could be in a position to launch 2 MMO's at once, hoping people would take advantage of their Station Pass service, which I assume will be getting yet another price increase for their 2 new future games.

I don't think they'll be rushing games anymore.

SOE used to be top dog, and now they're barely a contender. If 2008 told us anything, it's that "you're overall, longterm success is only as fruitful as your launch" and that means polish & content. Not retaining all your intial subs, but having enough that players will, at least, consider a return down the road.

Rushing a game, in this market, with players of this mentality, is finacial doom. It's better to spend some capitol intially, and make it up in the long run.

The genre's players are less forgiving then ever.
