When dual talent specializations were revealed in the upcoming World of Warcraft 3.1 patch, Blizzard had some pretty stringent rules in place. Players had to be level 80 to access the ability and also needed to be near a Lexicon of Power (found in various capital cities) to even switch specializations. But Eurogamer as discovered that things have changed!
Now, the required level is 40 and training costs 1000 gold -- which is easy for someone to do if they've got a character in Northrend. Also, players can proceed to switch talents anywhere they like, so long as they're not in battle, a PvP Arena or Battleground. The talent switch will take 5 seconds and reset class resources to zero. In addition to these changes, a one-click equipment manager will also been added to streamline switching from one build to another.

And you're only just finding out about this now? It's been like that on the ptr for ages.

It's nice to see Blizzard getting rid of the silliness related to switching specs out. The lexicon of power requirement was just senseless. With the 1000 gold price tag and that requirement it made dual spec almost as inconvenient as the old style of respeccing. Now it can be used for the purpose which it was intended and continue Blizzard's new raid philosophy of "bring the player, not the class".
Also nice to see them continuing the tradition of lifting some of the most usefull add-ons and implementing them into the WoW UI. Outfitter is/was amazingly useful but I am always glad to remove another add-on from that already bloated folder.

Hmm, this whole dual spec thing making the game easier seems a lot like when they nerfed all the burning crusade raids, making them easier so all players could complete some raids before wrath of the lich king.
Maybe it's the same thing again but presented in a different way: Let everyone have a good chance of raiding, before we give up on the game altogether.
There is nothing more irritating than people who post just to flame games but as an old time WoW player I'm kind of sad to see the game I loved gone, but then I moved on some time ago. Maybe it is for the best that everyone gets to do everything as fast as possible, that way they enjoy the game and then move on themselves, hopefully like blizzard will and make a new game. There are actually better things out there now, well better in certain areas anyway.
Sorry, just had to say it :)
