Several new screens for Champions Online have been released and feature Millennium City, Canada and a Stronghold entrance. The cityscapes have a dizzying sense of scale that makes them quite stunning to look at, and the level of detail doesn't hurt at all either. Moreover, we're starting to see the visuals really come together lately.
Could that be pointing to a wider beta or release date announcement soon? We certainly hope so, although since there's been no word on any of that we're not going to assuming anything. If history has taught us one thing, it's that MMO release dates are never a certainty.

Why are you so interested in beta, Kylie? I thought your nerd rage over them getting CoH players into CO Beta made you lose interest? Or was that just a blanket generalization of everyone ELSE at Massively?

Was Kyle the same guy that said in a "MMOs coming out in 2009" that COH2 would be out(not just announced) in 2009 and it was already his #1 pic despite it not being announced nor developed yet?
Anyway.
It looks good. I'm anticipating this game still. Lets hope they have a real open beta, pretty much any MMO skirting a true open beta is quickly identified as hiding something(thank you Conan). Then again Mr. Sulic just might say "F&*% it" and the team agrees.

Is Canada true to its nature? A land full of snow, pretty girls and beer?

The game looks very nice it has to be said. I've always been a fan of stylized graphics, and this is a perfect example of well used ones. Hope the game is good too :>

That picture with the big tall buildings is pretty amazing. Lol I still get a chuckle out of northern Canada being a zone, I live there. :) Watch out for the killer Moose.

Glad people are able to move on and still appreciate this game. Too much negativity coming from my current MMO where supposed beta testers are saying the game is not that great.
I can't wait for this game to be released. I will decided for myself. From the news provided, from MY perspective, this game is shaping up nicely. Just give me an official release date and an Collector's Edition to buy.
