I am totally with the Massively staff on this one. Can. not. wait. for this.. gahh!!

As a side note, did you see on the website that they moved the ninja from being a subscription class to a free to play class and that the weaponsmith is now named the blacksmith? Interesting.

One thing I am concerned about is that anybody can do anything they want (no matter how easy) to get experience points.. now are those experience points only good towards the class you are working on, or can they be put towards any class?

Also, it seems maybe a wee bit too easy for the older generation who want to play. There might not be much challenge. When you die, you wait ten seconds and your back where you were with full health.

I also dont see massive raids happening here obviously, but it seems like with enough time, eveyone will be able to have the best gear, most leveled characters. thoughts?

Per an earlier video highlighted here on Massively, experience earned while playing one class applies only to that class.

I think it's true of any MMO that everyone can have the best gear and most levelled characters, given enough time. What strikes me about Free Realms is the way the free-to-play model takes away the pressure from the developer's corporate bosses to design roadblocks to limit the amount a player can get done in one session (which may be what you're citing as a concern.)

I'll be keenly interested in seeing how this performs for SOE. At least someone looks to be thinking outside the Everquest box. There's so much that could be done with the MMO format, besides grinding tedious chores while you wait for your next pull on the one-armed bandit RNG loot table.

Yes, I am glad that they are trying something different- i.e. not grinding, having so many different classes and things to do.

I like how they can add different classes later on (that everyone can play) as well as new pets, etc. I just want to play it so I know what to expect. April cant come soon enough.
