My only gripes with the new system are the lack of a multispectral probe and the lack of ability to set what type your probes are scanning. Before we had various ranges and sensor types of probe for exploration. Now we have one combined probe that we can vary the range on but we can't vary the sensor type. It means when we find something, we don't know what type it is until we get close enough to identify it. It would be nice if there was a filter for sensor type that worked on signatures before you're close enough to determine what type they are.

The lack of a multispectral probe I think is fine because you can set probes on a very wide range and cover the whole system with them. Since things will definitely show up if they're within range of your probe, we can be sure a system's empty if we can't find anything. Everything else is perfect, I love the new scanning system. Much better than the old one.
