There's no crime in having a fluff piece of the people involved and their love affair with the Star Wars setting. They want to do that as promotional piece, that's their prerogative. You'd be a fool to judge a game on basis of this video. Why not wait for some specifics along with in-game footage.
Guild Wars has often been described as PvE MMO or an MMO with single player RPG mechanics. It is considered a fairly successful game. So don't assume this game can't be successful, there are plenty of gamers who enjoy this type of game.
Not every MMO has to be a virtual sandbox.
