Wait, how can the party tree be a Mallorn given to Sam by Galadriel, when the party tree exists long before Sam even meets Galadriel?

The original Party Tree was cut down by the time Sam returned from his quest with Frodo, so he planted the Mallorn tree in the same spot to act as a rebirth of the original. Re-reading what I wrote, that wasn't specifically clear, so I've updated it. Thanks! :)

Great article. My Dwarf is going to be a little uncomfortable in Lothlorien (considering he is a Firebeard!) but will have to tough it out for the sake of the bigger picture and his personal orders from King Dain.

The Lothlorien Nature Sanctuary near Bloomington, Indiana, is not Neopagan. It's Faerie Faith. That's a very important distinction to them. Because of the Neopagans' vastly superior numbers (and bad habit of trying to take over everything they touch), they view them as something of a cross between barely-welcome customers and marauding locusts. (Come to think of it, not far off of how the local Unitarian assembly thinks of the Neopagans after their run-in with them.)

Enjoying the Lore about LotR & LotRO, it is fun and helpful, The links help & are useful too. I'm about 1//3 into the Fellowship of the Rings book, this is a fun adventure for sure. I even learned to appreciate Tom Bombadil. :)
