Book 7 looks well thought out. Crafting instances sound cool, and the battle instance sound good as well. I think the best news about book 7 is what was pushed back to book 8, namely the 6 boss 12 man dungeon.

I am glad they moved back the new 12 man "Rift" like instance to book 8. Having a new armor set so early felt a bit too much like old WoW, but with it moved back to 8 I feel 1/2 a year for each armor tier is a good pace. Sure the hardcore get the armor done in the first month, but the rest of us take a few months, and if we take a few months GETTING the armor, we like having several months of actually USING the armor.

About 1/2 the classes are getting nerfed and the other 1/2 getting substantial buffs. From what I've been reading in the official forums, its not the nerfs people(or me) are angry about, its the perceived view that classes like Hunters and Captains were nerfed specifically because of PVP content. Which is understandable since there is so little PVP content that it shouldn't affect the primary focus of the game, which is PVE. Several of the nerfs could've been fixed by limiting them to the pvp area.

Looks like the game walks the way i dont want to go.

Looks like Turbine wants more lonely children play the game. Battle instances are really really stupid cause depend on LUCK. Our (not bad) kinship slowly disapears, cause of nothing to do. SOLO instances dont change it, useless crafting dont change it, poor races against time through Lorien dont change it, new Q helper dont change it.
We need something bigger (RIFT come back!), we need book 8, we need it soon.

Making Book 7 soloable is smart move.

In my opinion, Turbine needs to go back and rework the ENTIRE epic quest line to make it either soloable or to give people the option to solo it (i.e., offer solo versions for the group epic quests).

The epic quest line is fun and was a good idea, but finding player groups for the "fellowship-required" portions of the epic quest line is a becoming more and more of a major headache, sucking much of the fun of the epic quest line right out of the game.

Turbine needs to "wake up and smell the coffee", as Blizzard did, and recognize that LotRO's mid- to low-level player population is THINNING OUT. Turbine, as Blizzard did with WoW, needs to make levels 1 to 50 more solo friendly, especially with regard to the epic quests.

That said, Book 7 sounds very very nice.
