I dont think anything they can do to get me to come back to this boring game... Keep swapping is a really stupid idea... making people run around in circles to different zones is ridiculous...

I will not return to this failure of a game... its starting to turn into another game like Age of Conan...

O yea... another thing... Making yet ANOTHER alt will not retain their customers as many customers already have 3 - 4 alts...

I'm here just waiting for the next best thing... AION, Star Trek, or Star Wars:TOR...

Anyone else doing the same thing?

Clearly you don't know why they're making 2 new classes, do you? It's called game balance, these two new classes should hopefully achieve that.

Every single race has four classes, except for Dwarves and Greenskins. IIRC, both don't have any Melee DPS classes but both have a class designed for Tank, Ranged DPS and Healing.

This patch sounds pretty sweet, I've only just started playing WAR and I already like it. I can't really rate it on a scale of 1 to 10 because I would like to get past Tier 2 first.

But I do find it a bad idea for Mythic to release a date when they're releasing the patch, because guess what Blizzard will do? They will put their "good marketing strategies" into effect and now Patch 3.1 of WoW will release before Patch 1.2 of WAR.

And can you blame them? It IS good marketing for them to do that, and Mythic have themselves to blame. So in the future, they should really hold off from announcing a patch's release date until it's actually released. Because no other MMO can release a patch earlier then, because they wouldn't have known when to.

On a more off-topic note. I am waiting around for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Ignor the input from the peanut gallery, as they've probably not played the game past Tier 2, possibly Tier 1, and certainly not Tier 3 or 4.

Anyways, this is EXCELLENT news that 1.2 will be coming LIVE next week. I'm especially excited about the resist cap being put in (prevents excessive resist stacking, which is why melee kicks caster's asses so much).

I cannot wait to see the new Chaos Tower scenario thingy, but am more impressed with the new domination system (which, so far on the PTS has gone off great).

Fantastic! Look forward to 1.2. These are exciting times.. I can recall the 1.x days of WoW and being happy with the new stuff and bug fixes. Good to relive that excitement.
Good job Mythic. Keep putting on the polish.

Mythic how did you release a gold client with more them 500 bugs in the first place??!! Really people complete your damn game before you start asking monthly feeds for it! Thats what wrong with the mmos of today to many beta clients showing up like final!

Still even after this patch there is only 20 days of content in the game for a pro gamer. Not worth the 15 bucks a month!

Considering this is one of the best MMOs out there right now, I'd say it's definitely worth 15$ a month.

1.2 is going to have huge changes... not sure if I like them all, but definitely a decent amount of them will be nice.

It's been ages since I have had this fun in an MMO and I've basically played them all. Viva la WAR! I have to say, I enjoy the player-base much more than other MMOs recently as well.

Oh and the PvP ROCKS! :)

Anyone want a free trial, just let me know and I will send one out! Just need your e-mail addy and I will send one.

Yeah, but I am insanely good at it, so maybe thats why I enjoy it. I've had 4 SCs where I got over 30 kills and the next highest was 10. ;)

Great fun!

hehe, had the game since October 1st and have enjoyed it ever since. I play with a RL friend who enjoys the PvP as well, so it helps having an instant duo/group always.

Admit it, you are jealous of WAR. Just try it for more than a week before you bash it ;)

Urrgh are you serious?
I logged in last night to try and give it another chance (only because I foolishly paid another $15 thinking the new classes had arrived) and on my Zealot it took me over 120sec to kill a *boar* that was four levels below me.
(I also joined five different servers to do a /who count, none of which hit the maximum filtered into 10-lvl bandings lmao)

I immediately Alt-F4'd and uninstalled after being reminded that its THE most boring game I have the misfortune of owning.

Roll on THQ and the WH40k MMO!

Death to WAR! Death to Mythic for daring to charge $15/m for such an incomplete and ill-planned piece of hyperbole!

To the seven of you (rabid fanbois) left on their servers - enjoy!

LOL 120 secs against an Effortless boar? xDD
you played without hands and with a turned off display or what? I have a Zealot too, I can kill anythink at the same level in 45 secs. WAR is not even boring, maybe you can't use your own imagination... this is not the game you looking for...

I like WAR, its not the Messiah of MMOs, but its a really entertaining game. you know, dont blame the lake when the duck cant swim...

Ohhhhhh.. I see.
So I have to *use my imagination* to make WAR fun?

Oh! My bad! Silly me! I know I should've expected that, paying $15/m and all.. *blinkblink

Yes, an effortless boar. It should be named 'effortless bore' more like.

So erm, exactly how am I 'unskilled' when I have a finite number of offensive spells (as a Zealot) that number less than 10, that I click on in varying order, until my action points run dry, yet the boar is still 2/3's health?
(At which point I have to rely on the AUTO ATTACK which has a blistering speed of what seems like 3 hits per week - and of course an add will spawn even BEFORE I've finished slooooooowly hitting said effortless boar.. ad infinitum..)

Yep: FUN!

Even if your statement were true, did you read what you wrote?
Typos aside: "I have a Zealot too, I can kill anythink at the same level in 45 secs. "

Hrm so.. 45 secs per kill, when you're 'a good player' such as your obvious self?
I think the ol' "10 seconds of fun" rule got busted there?

I say again:
WAR Stinks. I admit it was fun post launch (scenarios only) but that just kinda-sorta relied on, oh.. PLAYERS. And in case you hadn't noticed, most PVP team games are not subscription based.

No matter what you, or any other proponent of WAR says, the gaming public voted with their wallets and preferences. The vast majority of those who started WAR, stopped WAR a month or two later.

There's a reason for that you know.
*Quack

Amana, stop pissing in his cornflakes. If people like War, let them play. Although I agree, I have a Zealot and it doesn't take me that long to kill anything. Could be a player issue. (L2P?)

Hahaha that is too funny. I will assume you are a very low level Zealot then - and although you chose a class that has the lowest DPS in the game, is meant to group and mainly only heal, it is still possible to kill a boar in under a minute.

If you wanted to be a damage dealing healer, you should have tried playing a Shaman, DoK, an Archmage, or a Warrior Priest.

Most likely you choose a Zealot because "they look cool!" (and they do!). I would just recommend people read up on classes before choosing one.

WAR is not like that one game... you know, the one where almost every class can be the best of whatever they want (dps/heal/tank/blah blah). In WAR there are different paths you can take, but for the most part, each class has its vital roles. Some of those lines are blurred, but there is a "best" healer class for group heals and there is a "best" healer class for single target heals for example. It all depends on what you want to do.

Some of you are so impatient to learn anything new, you don't give anything a fighting chance.

WAR is for those that like PvPing. If killing boars all day is your thing, go play something else - you will seriously have more fun. If you like PvP, you need to get to Tier 3 to even judge the game, and even then, it's just a taste for Tier 4 where you will have much more fun!

Thanks a lot for the links Brooke!

This patch is definitely going to bring about a lot of great things to WAR. It's hard to say how the class balance is going to be taken though.

Oh men I run from the game in the first 3 weeks , couldnt even finish the first free month.
The slayer was my hope for the game but Im so stunned with the SW Galaxies nowdays that I dont think I will come back to WAR , not even with the slayers ... they shouldnt launch a incomplete game with no content at all , just button smashing for dumbs (if want smash button in order, almost use a Street Fighter.)
