Wrong, Wrong, DEAD WRONG.

It is not free. Do not tell people it is free. It has microtransactions. It is designed so that you have to pay them to get much out of the game.

Holgar you idiot. It is free.

What you said is basically saying a mall isn't free because you have to buy stuff to get the most out of it.

There is absolutely no cost to playing Runes of Magic, should you choose to pay money for extra things, that is your choice, but it's easily playable without buying any of that stuff.

If you're going to rant, make a rant accurate and worthwhile.

It's ok, I guess sort of a WoW type clone with quests like kill x number of x. It is a good F2P game, but after levelling to 16/16 on my Scout/Priest and 16/15 on my Knight/Priest, I simply became bored and stopped playing it.

I wouldn't call it a trademark feature. Final fantasy XI starts you out with 6 main jobs as well, and at level 18 you quest for your secondary job, by strangely enough, going to a town next to one of the starter party areas, called Valkurm dunes.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

That dual class system is such a piece of s**t. It's not like you pick up a second class and run with it, you can only play one or the other. And, when you get your extra class and you switch over to the new one, you lose all of your levels, HP/MP, skills, and you can't use your old equipment (and no vendor sells level 1 equipment, so you get to fight naked). Best of all, you can't redo any of the quests, so you have to grind your way back up on mobs.

So you're essentially grinding two characters. One the normal way, one the long way. And it's usually for some small ability or skill. Like, if you want your Warrior to dual wield, you get to grind Rogue up to 18 before switching back to your "real" class.

It's grind-tastic, and it just goes to show that Korea isn't the only country out there that can make MMOs boring. They're gonna need to keep their eye on Taiwan in the future.
