Wait, you aren't going to emo about retail box buyers getting a shuttle with expanded cargo space?

Good.

It's amazing how many people on the eve forums have damn near ragequit over a shuttle that probably has a 15 or 20 m3 cargo space.

It seems crazy that people would quit over that. Do they get angry every time a product they buy goes on sale afterwards, or each time their credit card offers a promotion for new buyers?

You just know all the people who're complaining are gonna be the ones buying it anyways. If this was a battleship then I'd understand but it's a frigging shuttle and how often do you need extra cargo space on a shuttle? How often do you use shuttles?

I think this is a great deal for new players and you can just buy the new shuttle if youw ant it that bad.....

I also saw people moaning about them starting with faction to join factional warfare. It's like veterans players can easily get that faction or already have it. Like as a new player do you really want to grind faction out just to be able to PVP for your faction? To me it seemed like a dumb idea to do that anyways and pissed me off when I started the trial and I had to spend 2 days of that trial grinding faction to be able to join factional warfare.

Great package but it looks like it'll be fullprice...... I'd only pay £20 for it.

"Like as a new player do you really want to grind faction out just to be able to PVP for your faction?"

The trite answer would be that thousands of other players have already done so, so why shouldn't future newbies as well?

But seriously, any new player can already get straight into FW by joining a player corporation that's already involved in it. By giving out free standings, all that will happen is that they'll join the NPC militia corps, which despite having a lot of good people in them, also have their fair share of jerks who could put people off Eve for life.

Cause it isn't fun and puts off new people to the game. Get rid of grind and add in the fun.

Get rid of the dumb agent missions they're like the boring grind picket missions on SWG......

Get rid of mining.

Get rid of the long jumping travel time.

Add in the tournament style of gameplay to the game like Arenas in WoW.

Has anyone else noticed that Eve seems to be the "New Second Life" getting quite a few news stories each day that most people really don't want to read?

Heh... Massivley... Time to break out an Eve-Free Feed.

(I am not dissing this game, although it is way beyond my meagre intellect, just saying that recently there have been a metric tonne of articles on it)

More happens in EVE every day than in most MMOs over their entire lifespan. Take the BoB thing for example, if a big WoW raiding guild breaks up... nothing changes. BoB gets hit and the market goes mental, NAPs are formed and broken while the diplomats run around trying to get the best deals for their alliances, entire wars are called off as the frontlines move to the other side of the cluster.

In this case there is a story about how EVE is releasing a boxed version for the first time in 5 years, this is going to be news for most people who have never heard of EVE.

There may be a lot of articals on EVE, but thats because theres a lot of stuff going on right now, the whole tech 3 thing is a massive expansion, imagine if WoW suddenly added an extra continent, would you really object to massively doing a feature on it?

Ryan Dancey single-handedly killed off numerous Collectible Card Games, for those of us that remember the Rolling Thunder fiasco.

This guy can still get work in the gaming industry?
