Don't you think it's a little tasteless to make jokes about the fact that a load of people are now out of work, that their families are now suffering and that these people's lives have been turned upside down?

Thank you for fixing the image and removing the joke.

I appreciate it was intended to lighten the mood a little and offset the bad news (if it is indeed true) but it was in poor taste.
