Ah, the newbies that think they know the warhammer lore and spit out their silly BS just for the sake of criticizing at random. Well, let me give you a small hint, for your own sake. You DO NOT know the warhammer lore, and you're making a fool of yourselves.
1: It's pretty normal for enough slayers gather in one place to actually fight in regiments.
2: Long Drong and his slayer pirates (the ones that "fill the beach") are an established dog of war regiment and as such they fit the lore perfectly.
I understand that rabid warhammer online antifan are choking on their own bile every time mythic demonstrates they can deliver in full colors, but you're getting slightly ridiculous lately.
I agree, there is plenty of precedence for having lots of slayers, but they have a point that having lots of Witch Hunter is just silly. =P
And the lore-breaking aspect of slayers isn't that there's a bunch of them, it's that they don't just run up to a troll or giant at level 1 and get themselves killed fighting it. Slayers in Warhammer lore are always questing for something too deadly for them. But that isn't going to happen in the online game, and that's the lore breaking part.
And what are players doing in Warhammer Online (and in most other MMORPG) if not costantly questing in search of something to fight?
The myth that the inclusion of the slayer as a playable class breaks the lore has been already debunked several times in several forums. They don't, and arguing otherwise simply shows a sketchy and stereotyped knowledge of the lore.
Newbie eh? Well if collecting, playing and reading about Warhammer Fantasy Battles obsessively for 16 years (ie: almost half my life) makes me a newbie, then so be it.
Abriael, you have fast acquired a reputation here as one of the most blind WAR fanboys on the site and perhaps the entire internet. It's actually quite sad. Your constant blind defense of WAR at all costs and verbal assaults on its critics, regardless of the content of the criticism, completely eliminates any credibility you have amongst the community here. Not only that, but your constant self-appointed Warhammer lore omniscience is an absolute farce. The fact that you think WAR is so faithful to traditional Warhammer lore proves how ignorant you are to the established lore itself.
