Couldn't you just log in, and leave it AFK while you go to work or sleep? It's a little bit flawed of a competition. :P

LOTRO has a pretty quick AFK auto log feature so that wouldn't work.

What a sneaky way to boost their XFire stats which Turbine will then use as "proof" their game population is growing rapidly.

I like LotRO and will return someday so am not trying to bash it just the deceptive marketing technique Turbine is employing and hope it does not catch on with other MMOG publishers.

On the other hand, it further diminishes any value one should put in XFire stats in the first place. . .

As I stated in a discussion on another thread, all Xfire stats showing the number of people using Xfire illustrate is the number of people using Xfire.
