Of all the talentless blobs to get TV time, Fallon ranks right up there. But I'll take any chance to see the lovely Ms. Day.

You think? I think he'll do great. He's never been much of an actor, but he's got personality. Conan was a writer, and he struggled in his early days. Now he's the man.

Anyway, I hope Felcia gets more into the mainstream and doesn't lose her gamer roots in the hype. It's good that our genre is gainng a pressence in the mainstream media, and it helps that she's an attractive person. Breaking the "basement dwelling, anti-social, loser" sterotype has been a long time coming.

I think with the number of actors/actresses and NUMEROUS major athletes being outed as "wowers" the main stream has no choice but to deal with it. The thing about online games, especially the more complicated ones is that it is difficult to explain them to the "average joe".
Remember the first time you tried to explain your wow addiction to your father? That glazed look? To mass media that means people turning the channel, no one wants to feel stupid or be reminded that their left behind by technology.
This is the reason most media outlets are still obsessed with telling people to clear out their browsers cookies, they want to talk about computers and computer security. It is a big part of everyone's life now, but the only thing they can really explain easily to the average Joe is the most simplistic of maintenance items. If they tried to explain something even as simple as spyware viewers would likely get lost and turn the channel. Channel turning loses ad revenue.
MMO's will not be completely and fully mainstream until the lowest common denominator among the media consuming masses knows that gnomes don't just sell cheap air fare.

Wish I could meet a pretty, talented female who not only plays Wow (or some other MMO) but who can infact say she's been a gamer since the 32 bit console days, or in Felicia's case, hardcore'd old school dungeon crawlers!
