The graphics are ugly as sin. I hope they don't look that bad in-game.

Looking at recent screenshots, the web tool uses pretty much lowest settings graphics to capture characters. I imagine they'll update that in time.

From what the devs have said on the Champions forums, those are not in-game pictures. The Rate My Champion feature gets the costume info another way. This is mostly to show off the huge ammount of costume customization options. But a dev did imply they're working on getting more in-gamey pictures for a future Rate My Champions update.

I half expect this feature to be taken down. The characters look bad and if its not the real in-game graphics they shouldnt have it up. It will turn players away.

there really doesn't look to be a lot of customization options, a lot of them look the same, and horrible. i'll stick to city of heroes.

I'm trying to get behind this game, but after thumbing through the customization options for the last 20 minutes, I'm just unimpressed. The body shapes, the faces... making unique faces is more than just setting sliders and adding goatees. Here's to hoping they keep plugging away at it. I'd rather my hero not have a meatface with a cro-mag brow.

Well, Cryptic revamped the Rate My Hero feature and it looks much much better.
