I think AA grinding is finally what drove me away from EQ. I remember putting in an entire evening and noticing that the AAXP bar had moved a whole... pixel. It was at that point I decided that EQ was simply too much work.

Yeah I got a soft spot for ol' Vanguard. It's a decent game but still needs improvement, fortunately it has been going in a good direction for awhile now.

Its to bad it didn't have a good launch, things would be totally different if it had.

You said it perfectly. They needed to wait at least another few months to polish the game. Or perhaps even longer to get more content in on release.

I also have a soft spot for Vanguard. I think the game is excellent. I keep going back and leaving because I have no one to play with.

"The AA system will be modeled after the one found in the original EverQuest"

That's all I needed to know. I'll pass, thanks.

Where did the mention WOW, WAR, LOTRO, EQ, EQ2 or EVE? Vanguard isn't even in the Holy top 10.
