No GW2 in 2009...
Apparently they ran into some trouble and want to promote GW1 in the meantime to keep the cash flowing.
The problem is: GW is stuck with an old control system. Clicking in front of your character instead of direct controls is a no go anno 2010.
The controls used in GW are old hat and no longer apply to a modern full 3D game.
So they have to change this, which is not easy if you grew up with these kind of controls.
I also think they are now in the "post WotLK" depression. The same thing is like when War's Mark Jacobs told to the press they had to redo a lot after seeing TBC.
Problem is WotLK - lore and world design wise - took again a leap forward and that's not a good motivator to still find a beter designed 3D world.
Imagine flying a mount and clicking in the "sky". :)))
So, it's clear to me: no GW2 in 2009.
