I decided to stop bitching about all of the little glitches and bugs in WAR and actually try and help address them. I submit anywhere from 1-2 bug reports per play session. Everything from mobs being stuck in terrain, bosses in tower BOs disappearing in the floor and resetting, rubberband looking chars/npc's, getting stuck on simple terrain, etc.

The pretty colors you are seeing are generally used as a "texture not found" texture. They generally set to load automatically whenever a texture is not found, thus during the development process whenever you mislabel a texture name you will immediately notice that the texture you wanted to place is not there.

This looks like a case of where either WAR didn't load the textures properly while loading the area or corruption in the memory of the players computer causing the texture to not be able to load.

And now you know! And Knowledge is Power!

Be careful. I started seeing those kind of glitches in WoW when my video card began to die...

I got this same texture problem after upgrading to the latest (november?) video drivers. Problem went away after rolling back to october drivers. Other problems such as video stutters every 15 seconds went away too.
