Working game > Crashing game.

Torch and Pitchfork all you want, but these guys do work fairly fast and communicate well, so I anticipate they'll fix this issue and the game will still be fun in the end.

Honestly at this point I'd rather play DAoC. I just ordered the 5th Anniversary copy and am looking at getting back into it because it is a real RvR game without instancing. Nothing has ever come close to DAoC RvR in the two years that I have been looking for a replacement. Mythic should have stuck with their tried, tested and true formula as opposed to this f'd up DAoC-WoW amalgamation with Warhammer nomenclature.

Hmmm, when I go into a fortress I don't get a loading screen. Oh, wait, that's because it's not a instance!

I was specifically talking about WAR's scenarios in my above post. This fortress stuff, however, might as well be instancing too, it's a rather underhanded way of achieving pretty much the same thing.

All happy paying full subscriptions for Beta testing a game ? :))
What about the 4 deleted Capitols?

Question remains how many players will still be there when they finally have "that new code permitting massibe battles without crashes".

And would YOU buy a second hand car from that man on the pic ?

Not sure why people still mention the 4 missing capitals. They would be such a horrible waste of time and a horrible game design decision to be implemented right now.

This is a step in the correct direction. My major complaint with WAR was the lag, RvR is simply no fun when it gets reduced to a slideshow. Well, that and for some ungodly reason I needed to run the game through a proxy to get it to connect! Apparently its a very known problem, and a problem many people are having. Their authentication server code is really borked.

Other than that, it's the right direction (get it all working) and one can hope they deliver. However, they've mentioned this "magic code" a lot in the past when in reality it didn't help / hurt.

Fact is, all of their first guesses on how to make a game have been wrong and now you are all paying while they try to come up with alternatives by trial and error.

Absolutely nothing more to it than that - you are sheep if you pay and play Warhammer.

Blah blah blah Warhammer is in beta blah blah blah. I'm a sheep? What's your game of choice?

It’s the same rhetorical generalization statement that players throw out on EVERY game in there first few months. Considering the shaky start that other games have had in the last 2 years, WAR is by far out shining them.

Other then the fort situation – it’s the one glaring issue – what is there? Class balance? Welcome to every mmo ever.

The game is great, IMO. I’m just hoping the level cap is enough and they don’t have to go to the step of making the Fort it’s own zone.

i think it's funny how people keep bashing this game, trying to get some venom injected so they can step back and watch those of us who play it writhe and seethe int he form of angry posts.

This is and has been a fun game. I am enjoying it immensely.

The keeps and especially the forts need to be redesigned GEOGRAPHICALLY.

Whoever thought up the 'stairway' model needs to be... dealt with severely.

There should be relatively open areas where the two sides can battle for these locations. That would solve lots and lots of problems.

Make it a smaller 'region' with three cap points and a Lord area and... ya done.

DO IT DO IT NOW!!

K thx bye.

Agree 100% Litany.

Fix the stairs and this game would be just about perfect. The PvP aspect of the game, both scenario and oRvR is great....they need to work on PvE a bit now to get some people back there...now that everyone is flooding RvR for all the awesome loot and rewards.

Just got me stuffed how people can queue and play scenario's 20 hours a day...I get bored after 3 or 4 of the same map ;) oRvR is hell fun though....blocked stairs issues aside.

stairs are the only way a side with lower numbers can hold on
take them away and then the low pop side will always lose
