When SE first announced this my first thoughts were similar to Harmen's. While the message seems to suggest otherwise, I imagine they have always had tools similar to the "PWNER" tool. IMO, the whole report reads like a deliberate admonition, a not-so-delicate nudge to the would-be wrongdoers.

I get the feeling SE is going to start going after the blatant gilbuyers in addition to sellers. Probably not bans, but definitely confiscation and a visit to Mordion Gaol. Perhaps one day we'll log in and find our Linkshell officers, static partners, friends, lovers, enemies, and server legends locked up in GM jail. A FFXI rapture. Chickens coming home to roost.
