I have never given real world MMO presents, but I have given in game items to people for christmas, usually to all the younger corp-mates in the group.

I have. I've given t-shirts, toys, game cards, and various kitsch to those who play. Sometimes, it shows how much you care to feed someone's addictions.

Yep. I bought my Bro-in-law time cards and a retail box. I've also rec'd time cards. I actually request them from family. It's perfect amount and something I'll actually use.

I gave my brother World of Warcraft for Christmas a few years ago. He played for a while but eventually quit because he works too much. I was disappointed. We're about 1,000 miles apart and I was hoping it was something we could do together. But he just doesn't have the time... :(

I haven't specifically given an MMO box or time-card for Christmas, but my brother and I give each other EB Games gift cards every year and mine often goes towards an MMO.

I inevitably end up getting a couple time cards for my various friends who play warcraft. This year I'll be giving out one Warcraft one and one Warhammer one. I like receiving them too but I don't request gifts. If someone wants to get me something it isn't hard to figure out what I would like. I'm just satisfied being able to give gifts to my friends.

Never been one to actively give a gift of a new MMO to somebody, though. I'd prefer to leave it to their choice what they want to play. Unless they specifically mentioned they wanted to play it, but that hasn't happened yet. Other non-massive games I'm not above giving, however.

I've never given MMOs for Christmas, but I have for birthdays.

On Christmas 2003, my parents surprised my older brother, younger sister, and myself with Collector Edition copies of SWG. Needless to say, that was possibly the most used present we've ever received. We were all active subscribers until the NGE hit. Then my sister and I played on and off until a year ago... Ah, the good old days...
