I am all over this! Anything I can play without swapping over to XP that isn't WoW, I will.

I'm assuming this also applies to City of Villains, right?

City of Heroes and City of Villains are now the same game, rebranded as just City of Heroes. So yeah. You get it all.

Okay, cool. I wasn't sure if they had done that or not. I haven't kept up with the game much, but this might be enough to get me to throw my cash at them and play the thing.

I hope there's a really long cooldown on that teleport power or there are going to be a lot of angry current subscribers.

Current subscribers have access to the Valkyrie pack as well, it's a microtransactional add-on. It's the exact same thing they did when they released the Good vs. Evil edition.

Microtransaction purchases for City of Heroes are allocated 100% towards future content development, it should be noted.

Wish the bigger games would go to mac.

Like Warhammer and all the upcoming games. :(

My Macbook > My PC and I can't afford a new one.

You might want to look into Crossover Games. I think it's supports Warhammer Online. It doesn't actually require you to install a copy of windows, which saves some money.

Does anyone know where to go to download the Mac beta client? the announcement page just has the signup form on still and Positron's post doesn't say.

EVE Online's Cider Mac port was and is terrible. I hope this one is better, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I've given up and have taken to running games in Boot Camp at this point.

I have been in the closed Mac beta and the open Mac beta for COH, and I can tell you that the port is very impressive. I am on a MBP with a GeForce 8600M (256MB) and the game plays as good, if not better under OSX, than it does under Bootcamp/XP.

Get your hopes up and try it!
