tat--very insightful analysis of corporate marketing initiatives. Usually also the consultants are hired by the HR team acting on behalf of the CEO--occasionally the marketing team gets involved. I was involved in a very large rebranding and we focused all our "trio" on customers and what they needed, yeah I was in marketing--but then the HR guys got involved and added bunch of stuff about "stakeholders". We thought the "stakeholders" would naturally benefit if our organization took better care of customers and how many things could our people focus upon ( or have room for in there cubicles).

I still find it odd not to see anything in this Tao about customers--although at least some of the residents do pay and presumably many spend money to feed the SL economy.

"Walk in our residents' shoes" - Quite literally possible in sl - How many hours per week do most Lindens spend inworld? How many of those are with an alt that isn't easily identified as a Linden? Do all Lindens have a non-Linden sl identity and belong to a sl community?

I don't even know what the Tao of Linden is anymore.... to me, it just reads as a marketing strategy: present to your potential clients a proposal based on idealistic views and a representation that this "tao" is actually in effect....

When i think of "taos" i think of who say em....
A tao of ghandi, or mother teresa, thats a tao i could get behind.... if G.W. Bush wrote a tao, I'd hardly find that tao worthy of wiping my ass with.
So, the Tao of Linden... it's all subjective. Anyone who doesn't know Linden will read the tao one way, while anyone who's lived the SL life will interpret it differently
