Nice column. Couldn't agree more - CCP deserves huge props for how they've handled the long term development of the game.

Also, remember when you were mining in your Moros and got popped by a roaming gang? Ah, ISS...good times... ;)

Hahaha, I am never going to live that down. Though the tank did hold up quite well for someone without siege mode. And that roaming gang cyno'd in a capital fleet :p

The next two expansions are both HUGE in terms of content. The modular T3 ship designs are going to completely intensify the ship diversity, and walking in stations (Should still be Ambulation...) will add a new level of depth as well! I like the way CCP does not charge extra for the expansions, as well!

Nice article. I've always wanted to start Eve and never had the courage.
Do you have any suggestions on how to begin ? Like some good beginners guides or tips&tricks, for exemple ?

Hey, nice articles...
Have just spent the last few hours reading all your guides that have been posted on this site (square eyes now.. i know!).

In fact, i have spent the last week reading as much about EVE as possible... as i have been considering signing up off and on for a while, but wanted to know some more about the content and necessary learning curve before taking the plunge.

Still in two minds as to signing up now and learning some skills and experience prior to the new expansion in March, or wait until then and benifit from the new tutorials and skills system that is being talked about.

But i would like to see that the new Worm Hole universes are particularly dangerous to venture into unless you have some good skills / experience... and i dont mean "fighter jocks" and "big ships".

I mean... all the best SciFi films have "scientists / explorers" being important components of any team / fleet etc. Offering the best or worse case solutions or projected % of survival / success etc to the current situation. "fighter jock"s being expendable... ( a bit like the red shirted security "detail" in StarTrek... you just no whats going to happen!! ;)
