Star Wars Galaxies announces the post-transfer server list
Sci-fi, Server downtime, Star Wars Galaxies

In an article on the official Star Wars Galaxies website, the developers have unveiled the servers they've chosen to be highlighted in a post-merger era. We discussed the server merger decision early last month, and noted their plans to decide 'later' which of the servers would be options to transfer into. Now complete details for the free character transfer service are available, and which servers are getting the thumbs-up will probably come as no surprise if you're a part of the SWG community. Here's the list of servers that can be transferred to starting January 13, 2009, and ending on March 31, 2009:

Both the characters on my server and my friend's server will have to be moved.
I read the post on the SWG boards, and I have a question they didn't answer. What about someone who resubscribes after the Free Transfers end, but has characters on the Leaving Servers(so to speak). Will they be screwed and have to pay for a transfer? Or does each character get one automatically upon logging in even after that?
I haven't played SWG in a long time, so I can't ask on the boards myself, but I like to keep my options open on resubscribing, so I'd like to know.

SOE's been steadfast in its refusal to use the word "merger" to describe the above, so far. I wonder if Smed will pass along a correction come monday morning, or if the writing really is on the wall.
