I agree its odd they delete or more accurately since they seem to be able to recover them, make your characters unavailable, if you resub more than 3 months after you quit. They also have or had a stupid resub policy that forces you to resub on the exact day of the month you quit or lose days in that first month. For example if you subscription expired on the 15th of the month and you resubscribed on the 14th, you would pay for a whole month and get a whole day. Nice way of doing business.

Huh?

My character who was unplayed for a little over a year was still there when I resubbed not too long ago.

You can probably count yourself as one of the lucky ones then. From what I've read, they may not delete your characters straight away after 3 months, but at any point after that it is possible.
