Pretty sad that FunCom have to bump their own comments just to stay current, there is nothing new here other than the Secret World story, and they decided to tack AoC on to that just so they have something to report this week.

If they added Micro Transactions to AoC, I'd definitely like the option to be able to buy back all those wasted hours of my life.

What i wonder is what they hope to achive with a 360 release?

sales? i doubt it
subscribers? not likely, console gamers usualy dont spend to much time on a single game...

so i keep wondering... why?

take a look at FFXI for every game console. It was pretty popular. I think an MMO on a console is a great idea as it lets people who can't afford top end computers into the world of conan.

The FF series already had an establish fan base with gamers for almost two decades. Conan does not have a fan base with gamers, only with those who read the books, seen the movies. Then there is the reputation of AOC with the PC launch which may not work in funcoms favor.

i'll say it again. Only way I would consider returning to this game is if Erling Erlingson is fired, for all his lying that he did to us gamers during the launch and before. When that POS is gone, it might signal that Funcome is serious about this game. otherwise, f-em.

I was actually pretty excited about TSW before AoC's launch. I'm a huge fan of Ragnar Tornquist.

That said, I really wonder about their ability to deliver a successful MMO. AO was a disaster at launch, and AoC was a huge disappointment as well. Do they have the funding and talent necessary to release a game that is both fun and stable?
